Job Summary


Systems Engineering will be involved with the execution of formal and informal test events, requirements management for new and existing systems/sub-systems and will involve defining design architects, capturing interface partitions, establishing interface definitions, performing requirements analysis, performing requirements allocations, performing requirements decomposition, assisting in requirements trade analysis, supporting functional modeling, authoring sequence diagrams, performing requirements to specification conversion, defining requirements verification approaches, authoring verification and/or validation plans, authoring verification and/or validation procedures, authoring verification and/or validation reports, performing requirements traceability, performing reporting of requirements metrics, assessing requirements risks, and supporting formal requirements reviews and audits (make sure everything is in compliance with requirements).

Job Responsibilities


  • Assist in the execution of informal and formal Test Verification and Validation events
  • Assist in the analysis of informal and formal Test Verification and Validation results to ensure compliance to the tested requirements
  • Assist in requirements VCRM/RTM capture and management tailored to the product’s life cycle stage and program execution phase
  • Manage requirements, specifications and compliances traceability in IBM Rationale DOORS -v9.6
  • Assist in informal and formal Test Verification and Validation scope and planning to ensure requirements compliance
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate traceability of all informal and formal requirements, specifications and compliances
  • Assist in informal and formal System Engineering Reviews
  • Track industry and USG standards, regulations, specifications and best practices as each requirement, specification or compliance dictates
  • Will use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments
  • Ability to work independently, regular reporting of progress and status
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
  • Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
  • Provides technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
  • Supports and participates in technical activity. Designs, develops, analyzes, documents, and supports testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

The ideal candidate would have:


  • Full life cycle systems engineering experience
  • Exposure to formal auditable requirements
  • Exposure to design assurance and formal qualification terminology and processes
  • Exposer to IBM Rationale DOORS
  • Ability to write DXL

Qualifications


  • Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Related technical field

The pay scale for this position is $69,714/year - $104,222/year. The pay scale information is a general guideline only.
