Systems Analyst

Position Summary:
Under direction of Information Systems Management, is responsible for various projects and support of software applications. These staff members will be responsible for analyzing software applications to ensure they fit the needs of the business. This staff will also be responsible for coordinating the project timelines throughout its life cycle.
Valley Health System has MULTIPLE Systems Analyst roles available. Each open position on 1 of the following areas:

• Laboratory Information Systems: Support the Lab department (chemistry, microbiology, pathology, blood bank) using our LIS Meditech. Provide support to ensure successful implementation, testing, and auditing of the functionality of the LIS modules. Maintain test directory in the system and add new tests as requested by Laboratory leadership. Design, install, test, and maintain all instrument interfaces to/from LIS Meditech. Monitor data transfers and system-to-system interfaces; address issues if detected. Participate in on-call rotation.
  Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred. (req12193)
• Administrative Applications Support: Background working in Health Information Management, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Abstracting and Revenue Cycle. Meditech and/or 3M experience a bonus. (req12184)

• Administrative Applications Support: Background working in Revenue Cycle, Finance, Supply Chain, Fixed Assets, Athena collector, Meditech BAR/RCG, Patient Financial Services. Meditech and/or Athena experience a bonus. (req11887)
• Clinical Applications Support (Physician/Nursing/ED): Background working with clinical workflow analysis, system configuration and integration, testing, support, and data collection. Knowledge and build experience with the following systems highly preferred: Meditech OM (Order Management), Centrak Infant Security, Centrak Hand Hygiene, Stryker iBed, Vocera Edge (PatientTouch), West-Com Nurse Call, Inspiren. Previous experience with Project Management also highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience working with information systems applications. Experience in conducting problem analysis, problem management, requirements gathering, feasibility studies, system design and implementation. Working knowledge of healthcare enterprise preferred. 2 to 3 years experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Working knowledge of hospital operation preferred.
