Description:

The Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) is a seven year Single Award ID/IQ contract for maintenance, sustainment, operations, and support of Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), Live-Fire Ranges, and Instrumentation Systems. The ATMP portfolio includes ~250,000 live, virtual, constructive, and gaming TADSS located at 422 sites worldwide. The primary customer is PEO STRI in Orlando, FL. PEO STRI’s published vision for ATMP is integrated, one-stop, worldwide maintenance and sustainment for Army Program of Record (POR) TADSS. This position requires:
  • Systems engineering including software installation, testing and validation, monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and verification to ensure full operational status of physical and virtualized servers, workstations, laptops, networked storage devices, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, and the Digital Range Training System software.
  • Provide immediate resolution to system problems/failures.
  • System setup, test, logging/data collection, compilation, and analysis.
  • Provide high level operational support for system diagnostics, analysis and resolution.
  • Provide software and operational support in both analog and digital simulations, live operations, and regularly verify system performance.
  • Reports directly to the Program Manager and acts as his or her proxy when absent.
  • Ensure all systems are fully operational and available for support missions, on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Confirms DRTS equipment is prepared IAW Training Event requirements.
  • Manage DRTS software including multiple exercise databases running in Oracle and SQL.
  • Manage user/group accounts on a domain, manage devices in DNS and DHCP, and ensure systems are backed up regularly.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of electronic and electrical equipment.
  • Apply technical knowledge, skills, and procedures to perform tasks, often without instructions.
  • Replace components and wiring circuits using soldering equipment and circuit card rework stations.
  • Take, record, and analyze test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters and ammeters.
  • Record work performed in a maintenance information system.
US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in technical engineering support of field operations working with servers, computer systems, networking equipment, and operations in assessing and correcting faulty equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Server, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization software such as VMWare ESXi.
  • Experience with setup and configuration of routing and switching equipment such as Cisco and Juniper hardware.
  • Experience working with A/V capture equipment.
  • Computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic communications and ability to repair using mechanical splicing and/or fusion splicing.
  • Proficient knowledge of electronics and electricity.
