We are a dynamic non-profit that helps at-risk and justice-involved youth empower themselves. We are looking for a heart-oriented IT technically savvy individual to provide support to users in an efficient and accurate manner. You will be considered our front liner and you will manage the set up and maintain the technical aspects of our program. This is an ON-SITE role. You will be client-facing with our program partners and often working with their technology and logistical set up team, our tech developers, our coaches and our youth that we empower. Exceptional collaboration and communication skills are a must.

Key Responsibilities

In this role YOU will be our Primary VR Technical Lead. Taking point and owning contact for any/all tech related questions or issues. Working through and convey resolutions and troubleshooting for any VR Workstation technological or connectivity issues.

• Set up of fully functional workstations with hardware and necessary peripheral

devices. (mouse/keyboards, usb devices if/as needed, speakers, printers, etc.)

• Potentially design/develop future VR workstations

• Network Connectivity at the workstation (local network/wifi as/if/when needed).

Working to facilitate with partners or other IT teams as needed.

• Validate hardware (Oculus, mobile devices, computers etc.) to ensure functionality

• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications on all hardware devices

• Maintain workstation network configuration in ways that optimize performance

• Ensure security and privacy of workstations and connected systems

• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment

• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)

• Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule

• Organize and schedule upgrades without disrupting the user program

• Track and update program data inside of Oculus headset and produce activity report

• Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure

• Recommended procedure modifications or areas of improvement to streamline and improve the VR program

• Proper, proactive care and cleaning of the VR equipment

Requirement and Skills Needed

A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet and gaming applications, networks and operating systems.

The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.

• Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position (3-5 years)

• Excellent people, collaboration, and communications skills

• Advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills

• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills

• In depth understanding of diverse computer/mobile systems and networks

• Good functional knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

• Adept working knowledge of Oculus Quest 2 device.

• Serious professional who likes to have fun

• A strong history of reliability and working ethically

Hours: Monday-Friday 2:30-5:30 pm

Date: March 6-April 2023

Duration- 7 weeks but extension is possible through 2023

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
