Swine Production Manager

HANOR Company of Wisconsin, a leader in US pork production, has an immediate opening for Swine Production Manager in Western Iowa.

The candidate will need to live in Western Iowa - Cherokee to Spencer area.

This position is expected to have 5 years in the swine production environment and 3 years supervising swine production operations. This position will serve on the Iowa Management Team and report to the Regional Production Manager. May require some overnight travel.

The Swine Production Manager will contribute as a member of the HANOR Iowa Management Team by:

• Overseeing day to day activities on approximately 250K spaces and 5-7 Swine Production Supervisors.
• Oversee and manage labor on sites that HANOR is responsible for providing the day to day management.
• Grower / Facility Owner relations, work to correct problem growers / sites
• Implement and monitor biosecurity and herd health programs
• Set high standards for operational excellence at our sites for both Swine Production Supervisors and Caretakers. This will best be accomplished through spending time on the farms with our partners and employees.
• Evaluate and implement measures to achieve both marketing and mortality objectives
• Evaluate and implement measures to achieve financial objectives which includes cost control and margin management.
• Work with the Maintenance Team to ensure farms are properly maintained.
• Possess good communication and computer skills
