The Surgery Scheduling Department Leadmanages the Surgery Scheduling department process while assisting with Surgery Scheduling duties.

Essential Functions:

• Leads Surgery Scheduling Department staff to maintain flow of surgeries
• Provides continuous support to department staff
• Monitors Surgery Scheduling team’s performance and work load to ensure they are current with scheduling tasks and are working in an efficient and timely manner
• Assists and/or provides training of department staff
• Handles complaints from patients
• Schedules and assists with coordination of surgeries for OCUA physician/s
• Reports to department manager

Required skills & qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) years of experience as a manager, supervisor or department lead
• Effective leadership and motivational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure both individually and as part of a team
• Professional, calm demeanor
• Professional and positive attitude
• Excellent customer service skills
• EMR experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology

Preferred skills & qualifications:

• Surgery coordinating/scheduling experience
• Clinical experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or at least two (2) years of managerial, supervisory or leadership experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.28 - $28.96 per hour
