How do we support Clarios?
As a part of Clarios’ $2.2Bn North American commodities business unit, and under general direction of the Returns Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the customer experience that supports Battery returns within the US/CA Region for the purpose of recycling. This is a critical position with Clarios’ sustainability blueprint that ensures the company continues to be a business partner of choice with our customers.
What does our group do?
The North American Metals business unit within Clarios leads the world’s largest closed loop recycling economy. Across our recycling network, we responsibly recycle over 8,000 batteries every hour of every day. We convert the lead into the grids, and oxides that go into our new batteries. We take the plastics and convert them into new battery cases, and we have the ability to process the acid for use in by-products such as ingredients for detergents.
As a result, automotive batteries are the most recycled consumer product in North America and other G7 economies. The recycling rates of lead-acid batteries now exceed 99%; that tops aluminum, paper, tires and glass.
What you will do
- Performs root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement, and implements process changes that enable efficiencies in the workflow
- Generates core pickup requests as requested by customer
- Processes customer credit memos relating to core pickups
- Collaborates with external and internal customers to ensure proper reimbursement of returns
- Supports the material flow operations of customer battery returns intended for recycling at US/CA customers, warehouses, and recycling locations
- Remediates real-time material flow issues, with the assistance of Logistics and IT, ensuring inventory is properly recorded at all Clarios locations
- Compiles key reports for internal and external customers on a regular and ad-hoc cadence
- Supports IT enhancement projects from the development stage through to implementation and end-user training
- Other duties as assigned
What we look for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Finance, or related field
- 1 year of experience
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and planning skills
- Willingness to learn and constantly adapt to a changing environment
- Must demonstrate the Clarios values: Principled, Committed, Customer Centric, Challenge the Status Quo, Win Together
- Computer competency skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite, preferred experience with SAP, MFG Pro, and Power BI
Where will you work?
Position is a work-from-home and in-office hybrid. Up to 10% travel required.
