Analyze and assist in the development of strategies that transform McLane's positioning for long-term value creation. Manage organization-wide projects, assist with, and support the overall coordination of McLane's delivery strategy by taking ownership over a variety of transportation initiatives including network analysis, load consolidation, and delivery mode analysis through planning, execution, and post-execution. Deliver significant cross organizational reporting through outstanding project management, best practice utilization, and statistical analyses. Work with team to design strategic business plans, deliver impact assessments and readiness plans cross functions, ensuring operational readiness and quality execution.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Drive comprehensive project management of transportation initiatives from planning and mobilization through execution and delivery.
- Work with Logistics team to develop comprehensive transportation strategies that support strategic business plans including hub and spoke routing, domiciles, cross docks, and network consolidation.
- Work extensively with senior stakeholders and business process owners to coordinate engagement and facilitate completion of project tasks.
- Provide frequent and timely communication to share status and raise risks to project team leads and various stakeholders.
- Contribute to project deliverables, program coordination, and leadership presentations as needed
- Develop strategic delivery plans and initiatives for and across functional area(s). coordinates and facilitates project management activities.
- Provide day to day management within large program and sub-workstreams to ensure an on-time delivery, within budget, that meets the strategic business requirements.
- Collect and analyze key performance metrics from various sources to understand the cross functional impact and full scope of work to be completed in each project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or closely related field preferred.
- 3 or more years with planning, project management and/or Logistics experience.
- Solid understanding of transportation and logistics strategies to include route optimization, cross dock operations, and network design.
- Working knowledge of transportation modes and rule sets including Class A Tractors, hours of service regulations, and Class "C" straight truck management
- Proven skills utilizing business management tools including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.
- Understanding of routing and network optimization software and constraints including, driver hours, truck compacity, and delivery windows
- Ability to pull detailed plans into an integrated program view, to ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to changing needs and shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and listening.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of business information and project plans.
- Familiarity with supply chain, warehouse and transportation operations, technology, and software preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office/Distribution Center working environment.
- Travel is project based and up to 50% with periods of little travel and periods of significant travel.
