This position could be located out of the following offices; Hays, Garden City or Great Bend.

The Care Center Supervisor uses his/her abilities to supervise staff during afterhours to ensure the following functions are completed efficiently; communications, placements, transportation needs, ensuring the needs of the youth's needs are met at night and provide crisis support.

Other job duties include;

• Mandated reporter
• Must have understandings of genograms, ecograms, and social histories
• Must understand child welfare and state system
• Must understand levels of care in the state of Kansas
• Working knowledge of family counseling techniques, both individual and group
• Flexible to changing situations, staff and youth
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Requires knowledge of the mental health care system and managed care
• Sensitive to the needs of youth and families
• Able to solve problems but also able and willing to seek assistance when necessary
• Basic understanding of adolescent development, treatment and defense mechanisms
• Understands adolescent therapeutic techniques and how this impacts the client
• Independent discretion/decision making within the scope and responsibility of the position

• Directly supervises afterhours staff, both in office and in the field.
• Participates in scheduling, employee evaluations, and performance improvement
• Resolves staff conflicts to ensure a good working environment
• Monitors placements to ensure children are placed in the least restrictive setting that meets their individual needs
• Liaisons between subcontractors/providers and Saint Francis Ministries Reintegration/Adoption programs
• Provides backup administrative support to maintain the high functioning of the program
• Ensures on-call forms are kept current.
• Provides leadership for staff and feedback on performance.
• Meets regularly with assigned team staff to provide case consultation and feedback on performance.
• Monitors overall client satisfaction of program and advises Care Center Director of the findings
• Reports and Assures staff report critical incidents to DCF verbally within 12 hours, written within 24 hours
• Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), rules, personnel policies and procedures; related accreditation and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statutes, regulations, and contractual terms
• Reports and Assures staff report unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
• Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
• Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures

Pay: $37,336.00 - $56,000.00 per year
