Strategy & Finance Analyst

Job Description Overview:

We are looking for a results-oriented Strategy & Finance Analyst to work in the Finance and Accounting department. This position will work extensively with members of the Finance and Accounting groups to manage cash, perform financial analyses, and assist with forecasting and budgeting. Key areas of focus range across M&A evaluations, capital structure planning, fundraising, industry research and benchmarking. Additionally, this individual will maintain cash flows, monthly financials, and long-range plans. He/she must be able to handle a large volume of tasks and possess the ability to prioritize. He/she must work closely with business units to complete assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the financial planning and forecasting process, including periodic forecasts, annual operating plan, and long-range plan
• Perform in-depth diligence to evaluate mergers and acquisitions and new initiatives including new location and markets opportunities
• Own complex financial models to analyze business performance, debt and equity capital markets and structure, and strategic growth plan
• Assist in fundraising efforts, helping to develop the investor presentation, identifying investor targets, and evaluating funding needs
• Oversee cash-flow planning and reporting, and manage capital spending
• Develop dashboards to track key performance metrics and monitor business performance
• Provide management with insights into revenue / cost drivers, as well as risks and opportunities
• Evaluate growth opportunities (e.g., new products, geographic expansion)
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve processes / systems and increase automation
• Work closely with the executive leadership team to build the financial infrastructure to support current and future business requirements
• Additional functions and requirements as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Passion for thinking out of the box, with a self-starter attitude, high-moral character, strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and team player mentality
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory
• Experience analyzing financial statements and performing financial modeling
• Ability to extract and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and make actionable recommendations in a concise, informative manner
• Ability to handle large volume of entries for review given deadline constraints
• A team player able to work collaboratively, within the group and cross-functionally across business units/functions as a thought leader and partner
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail, accuracy and excellent follow up
• Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high degree of change
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of management

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent
• Minimum 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
