Starter Ranger – Golf Course Operations

University Park Country Club (UPCC) is seeking Starter Rangers to work at a 27-hole golf course and provide excellent customer to our members and guests. We are seeking Starter Rangers who have golf and/or golf operations experience.

UPCC, has a stellar reputation and is a semi-private country club that serves approximately 1200 residents in 32 communities, as well as, outside members. If you enjoy working in a fast-pace, team environment that strives for excellence in customer service, this is the opportunity for you.

Must have golf playing experience and be able to work throughout the calendar year. A seasonal position is not available.

Position Responsibilities: As a Starter Ranger, you will control the pace and play on the golf course by directing players to the first tee at appropriate times.

· Provides information regarding course, play time, and other golf-related issues.

· Verifies that all revenues have been properly recorded by inspecting receipts for all players before they depart to course, practice tee or range.

· Dispenses range balls in accordance with club policies.

· Keeps assistant Golf Professional informed about rate of course play.

· Determines rate of course play.

· Maintains clean and orderly appearance of starter’s booth at all times.

· Arranges players in proper starting order and assigns appropriate tees.

· Supplies players with score cards, pencils, and rules of play.

· Advises players about course conditions.

Qualifications and Skills:

· Must have Golf Operations knowledge and/or experience

· Must be reliable and flexible with working schedule

· Must have good communication skills and speaking voice for tee announcements

· Must have excellent customer service and problem resolution skills

· Must be a team player

· Must be able to comply with and follow club and safety policies and procedures

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

Wage: $11.00 per hour plus tips and free golf privileges
