Job Summary:
The Staff Physician shall be licensed in the State of Mississippi. Performs histories and physicals. Active Pearl River County Hospital medical staff with privileges to practice as appropriate. Complies with established standards, procedures, and policies of Forrest Health. Utilize supplies and equipment in a cost-effective manner. Maintains a clean, orderly, safe environment for patients and personnel. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve Clinic objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental relations, and public relations. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, and abide by established communications code. Ability to perform other job duties as assigned.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates the ability to function within the established scope of practice for patient care including diagnosis, treatment, plan of care, and consultation.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.
- Interacts effectively and builds respectful relationships with physicians, other health care professionals, and other health-related agencies.
- Adheres to and promotes the established values of the organization, i.e., We CARE, Language of Caring, ACO, safety, compliance standards and all others.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Graduate of approved medical school. Completion of primary care (Internal Medicine or Family
Practice) residency program.
Work Experience:
Experience in some type of primary patient contact desirable.
