Nassau Candy is one of the largest US wholesale manufacturers of specialty and private label confections, supplying many of the national retailers and independent stores across the country.
In addition to Nassau Candy-made creations, we import and distribute the most sought-after confectionery, soda, gourmet food, and natural brands, including health, beauty, and household care.

We are currently hiring a well-rounded Staff Accountant for our Hicksville accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in all phases of closing and reporting including preparation of journal entries.
- Preparation of financial statements
- Analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Analyze variances in income statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist in special ad-hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree in accounting
- 7+ years of accounting experience – some Public Accounting experience preferred
- Experience in multi-entity organizations
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, advanced skills in Excel
- Attention to details, good organizational skills, and ability to perform efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Self-starter and detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
