STAFF ACCOUNTANT for Full Sail Brewing Company
Position: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Controller
Location: Hood River, Oregon
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Finance/Accounting team. The Staff Accountant supports the department by ensuring accurate and timely accounting data which provides management throughout the broader Full Sail team the financial information required to make informed decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Manage AP transactions in coordination with our Accounting & Payroll Specialist
- Ensure high volume of vendor invoices are recorded into the ERP accurately and approvals for payment are received in a timely manner
- Prepare and process disbursements to ensure all allowed discounts are utilized
- Manage vendor permanent files and payment terms, including resolving vendor discrepancies as needed
- 1099 reporting
- Administration of corporate credit card program, including verification of all charges
- Management of petty cash account
- Month end close responsibilities include GL account reconciliations
- Assist in external audits by preparing reports and documents as related to AP
Accounts Receivable
- Manage customer accounts and ensure timely invoicing and payments
- Oversee cash receipts and research any disputes
- Month end assistance including account reconciliations
- Assist in preparation for external audits with reporting and documentation of AR transactions
Compliance
- Monthly state reporting to states which Full Sail operates within
- Monthly preparation of excise tax returns and accruals
- Annual renewals and filings with States and Federal agencies
- Label and new product tracking
- Other duties and projects as necessary
Competencies & Skillsets Required:
To perform the essential functions of this job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies and skills.
- Experience with GL reconciliations and journal entries
- Self-managed and able to work productively with high accuracy
- Stellar planning and organizational skills to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Self-confidence and initiative for interacting with all levels of Full Sail staff, outside auditors, and various regulatory parties
- Extensive background with payables and receivables
- Ability to understand and maintain high level of confidentiality
- Understanding and adherence of internal controls to maintain financial security
- Must be highly skilled in the operation of various software and web programs; particularly the MS Office Suite and accounting software; SAP Business 1 preferred.
Experience & Education Preferred
- 5+ yrs experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field of study
- Public Accounting

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
