Responsible for

JOB SUMMARY

Provide software design and development support for the port’s billing, inventory, barcode scanning, and other applications.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather client requirements and develop specifications for programming.
• Primary department contact for responding to client calls, either internal or external, to resolve issues as necessary.
• Upload pallet files from customers for barcode scanning support.
• Work overtime hours and weekends as needed during peak cargo season.

MINIMUM PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Educational Background

BS degree in Computer Science or a related field

Technical Qualification / Certification

Programming experience with PHP, Visual Basic, data warehousing

Related Work Experience

Experience with systems analysis and design methodologies

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must be team-oriented
• Must have the ability to lead projects including assigning tasks and monitoring the work of other team members
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Visio
