Sr. Graphic Designer // Packaging Graphics Designer II

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Packaging Graphic Designer. Come join a company that is expanding year over year for the past 10 years! Your creativity will be pushed for packaging designs in consumer electronics products infused with high fashion and new trends. You must know and have experience in mechanics of files that will go to print. Candidates that have any background in the following will be strongly considered:
- Experience or strong interest in Fashion and/or Consumer goods
- Experience or strong interest in Retail Packaging Design
- Experience in prepress.
- Portfolio that shows creativity you've done in the past two years.
You will work closely with your team leader on a range of creative projects and develop different retail packaging artwork. You will always be guided with a creative direction and with your imaginative mind, understanding of design and typography get your first drafts ready for team review. You are expected to finish projects on a weekly and monthly basis. Some further details as to what the responsibilities for this position looks like.
Packaging:
- Create exciting branding and logos for emerging collections
- Design world-class, dynamic packaging and create print ready files for both existing and emerging collections according to best practices.
- Design inspirations with technology and beauty.
- Coordinate with Team Lead and Project Manager to ensure design accuracy.
- Proof color and packaging structural integrity and engineering
Other Functions:
- Route all layouts and proofs to appropriate team for approvals
- Fulfill all art requests
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
- 4+ years of Graphic Design or Packaging experience
- In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Apps and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of prepress, color matching/retouching, offset and digital printing a must
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary
Starting Salary: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year based on experience and skill set.
