Position in this function partners to create and review plan documents created from a document management system. Collects data to prepare documents, manages the review process until approval, or assists with the overall project management and validates deliverables, outcomes, and results.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Broadly, the Plan Documents Associate role supports our ability to scale and speed to delivery plan document creation in the Cincom for both ASO and FI market segments
  • Creation and quality control over SBCs, SPDs, COCs and SBNs
  • Partner with project implementation managers and account partners to produce high quality custom documentation within the implementation timelines
  • Assist with customization of client renewal documents
  • Updates documents to improve data flow leveraging new tools
  • Analyzes and reviews operational results, details, feedback, and related information on an ongoing to as needed basis to continue to optimize the document creation process

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare insurance experience
  • 2+ years of experience with document management system administration
  • 1+ years of experience with documentation and template design and maintenance
  • 1+ years of experience managing SPD (Summary Plan Description) throughout its lifecycle
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience displaying initiative and independent judgment within established department guidelines
  • Experience using various approaches to collect, analyze and validate information
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion
  • Experience identifying trends and drawing conclusions from document and process information
  • Experience designing effective document templates and data flow
  • Experience preparing functional reports, correspondence, and other written materials
  • Proven experience performing multiple concurrent projects with firm deadlines
  • Working knowledge of health insurance principles and terminology
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and maintain a high level of initiative
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels of the organization

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
