Job Title :Data Operations Lead

SUMMARY:
Data Operations Team Lead will work with the Data Operations Team to create, document, and implement standards and best practices, as well as provide the on-call schedules. Work with and within the team to support the production release process. Working within the Data Operations team structure to lead data operations owned process implementations and identify new opportunities for efficiencies. Help with troubleshooting issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
Assists with developing and maintaining applications owned by the Data Operations team.
Work with Data Operations Team to establish and enforces standards across data operations processes
Work with teams outside Data Operations to establish and enforce standards for data operations related processes.
Coaches analysts on Data Operations processes and techniques.
Coordinates the efforts of the Data Operations team as needed.
Assists with the evaluation, selection and implementation of any new Data Operations applications
Interfaces with BSA, ETC, DBA, Application Support, and Technical Support staff.
Provide oversight for specific Data Operation functions as needed i.e.: RAPS/EDPS submissions.
Serve as SME for all Data Operations processes and functions both internally for team and externally to other teams. Support release processes for assigned projects/development team(s)
Assist in support and troubleshooting of complex data issues with product support and productions support teams.
Develop and maintain the team on-call schedules
Provide evaluation of team members skillsets
EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years relevant information services experience which provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities. Expert understanding of security implementations in diverse environments. Expert knowledge of DB Administration techniques and day to day functions required. Experience with Source Control and full cycle release management process required. Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of SSIS or other ETL toolset required. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools required. Experience with the Red Gate tool set is preferred. Experience with PowerShell scripting is a plus. Previous work in an Agile Scrum environment is preferred. Leadership experience is a plus.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
Ability to mentor teammates in business, information systems, data storage and design, and data integrity concepts and techniques.
Ability to understand overall systems architectures and how they impact business results.
Ability to coordinate, prioritize and assign out tasks across multiple teams.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of computer systems, architecture and design, computer industry trends.
Expert in SQL scripting, stored procedures, and construction of highly complex queries.
Ability to utilize various tools to troubleshoot DB Environment.
Ability to efficiently tune, debug, troubleshoot SQL code.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to clearly articulate solution alternatives
Ability to understand and implement appropriate data architecture, business intelligence architecture, and design methodologies to solve the business task.
Ability to model normalized and dimensional data structures.
Ability to understand business needs and conceptualize and implement information systems that support those business strategies.
Thorough knowledge and application of departmental procedures, processes, and work flows.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to comprehend the consequences of various problem situations and address them or refer them for appropriate decision making.
Ability to make high level decisions under pressure to lead a team of DBAs in supporting the environment.
Ability to effectively exchange information clearly and concisely, and present ideas, reports facts and other information, and respond to questions as appropriate.
Ability to be innovative, creative, and think outside of the box when presented with roadblocks.
Ability to interact with others to build consensus and get decisions implemented.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Demonstrate the ability to lead the team, and setup processes to help streamline team operations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
Ability to perform other assignments at locations outside the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
