Job Description:  ·

Strong knowledge on Production Database Operations & understanding the importance of BAU · Strong analysis skills, Problem Solving and Decision making · Automate, innovate, and push database technologies forward. · Proactive reviewing of system log files, trend analysis, configuration processes. · Manage PostgreSQL databases and collaborate with other teams. · Perform Architectural health checks and suggest optimizations and design changes through a detailed summary. · Optimize the performance of postgres databases in PostgreSQL Internals. · Tune SQL’s and write complex scripts for day-to-day administrative tasks. · Upgrade and Migrate PostgreSQL databases · Understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals. · Implement Automatic failover, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools. · Perform Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery. · Analyze the logs and optimize the time consuming SQL’s. · Use extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases. · Perform PostgreSQL Upgrades from legacy to latest versions with least possible downtime. · Willing to accept/take responsibility and problem ownership · Skill-up on new concepts, features and Open source technology and being Mentors · Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment · Good Knowledge on ITIL Framework · Effective communication (Written & Verbal) · Experience on Incident Mgt and managing Crises calls by engaging with Vendors & Clients · Providing on-call database support during week-ends & out of business hours. · Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $34.58 - $70.69 per hour
