Spot Welder (Milwaukee/Menomonee Falls)

Design Specialties, LLC (glassfireplacedoors.com) is a leading designer and manufacturer of custom doors and screens for the fireplace industry in North America.

We are looking for a Spot Welder Assembler with a minimum of one year experience using Mig and Tig welding equipment. The individual must be focused on quality, First Time Pass, and good welding assembly techniques. This is a 1st shift, full time, position with working hours 5: 30AM to 2:00PM, with periodic overtime during our busy season.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Experience and understanding Mig and Tig welding

· Read, understand, and interpret blueprints and work instructions to complete assembly of products and components.

· Use variety of hand tools and spot-welding equipment to complete assembly of products and components

· Maintain daily schedule flow

· Inspect for quality finish after welding

· Monitor and maintain welding equipment and tools to be in good working conditions

Requirements include:

· Must have twelve months or more of welding experience in a manufacturing environment

· Basic math and measurement skills required

· Able to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally

· Able to walk and stand the majority of the shift

· Able to use hands to feel and grasp parts, fully reach with hands and arms, stoop, twist, kneel, and crouch or crawl

· Able to use face shield, gloves, sleaves (All to protect from welding sparks and hot metal)

· Able to train and work on other areas as needed.
