I. Position Summary

At Kids First, Speech Therapists provide family-oriented, evidence-based therapy services to children using a fun, motivating, energized approach to promote increased self-esteem, functionality, and quality of life.

Position Requirements / Qualifications

A. Education/Certifications Required:

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an Accredited College or University
  • National Board Certification
  • Alaska Speech Language Pathologist License (we will cover cost upon hire)
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (covered upon hire if needed)

B. Preferred Experience:

  • Fieldwork experience in a pediatric setting
  • One year of experience in a childcare or pediatric care facility preferred

Work Schedule:

  • We are willing to accommodate individualized schedules that work for each employee
  • Full Time: 30-40
  • Part Time: 10-25

Workplace Setting:

  • Outpatient pediatric clinic offering OT, SLP and PT to children 0-18.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluating a patient's functional status
  • Establishing treatment goals
  • Developing plan of care for each patient
  • Implementing the plan of care through direct treatment
  • Coordinating treatment with other health care personnel
  • Providing instruction and education to patient, family, and caregivers to promote carryover from clinic to home, school, etc.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary patient care conferences
  • Completion of accurate, timely documentation and daily treatment notes

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
