Speech-Language Pathologist

We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist in Wauconda, IL who is available to begin employment on 3/1/2023 and support through the end of the school year, 5/31/2023. The selected Clinician will support at a K-5th grade school building and manage a caseload of 45-50 students. The caseload consists of students with articulation and mild language needs. This position is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.

SLP Job Responsibilities Include:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-5th grade students
- Evaluate student’s speech-language abilities to prepare and conduct treatment plans
- Provide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the students’ IEPs
- Conduct and analyze assessments to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
- Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings
- Develop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based, as well as child and family-centered for overall educational improvement
- Ensure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders
- Manage a caseload of 45-50 students
- Other duties as assigned
SLP Job Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
- Current and Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement
