Job description
We are currently seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our school district team in Yelm, Washington. This position is for the 2023-24 school year, beginning on September 5, 2023, and ending on June 14, 2024.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy, evaluations, and write IEPs for a caseload of 57 Pre-K-12 students
- Collaborate with other school professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional success
- Work closely with a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide excellent services to students
- Collect data and prepare progress reports
- Attend IEP meetings and communicate with parents/guardians
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited institution
- Washington state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for helping students achieve their full potential
This is a part-time position for four days a week, 32 hours per week, with a full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
