Speech-Language Pathologist for Middle and High School Students in Manteno, IL (2023-24 School Year)

Position Overview:

AnthroMed Education is a Chicago-based organization dedicated to improving support and resources for school-based speech-language pathology. We partner with schools across the Chicagoland area to provide their students with high-quality speech and language therapies. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to add an SLP to our team to support Middle and High School Students in Manteno, IL for the 2023-24 school year.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Manteno, IL, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language services to middle and high school students for the 2023-24 school year. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders to help them overcome challenges and improve their communication skills. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support a caseload of about 49 students who range from Middle through High School
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech and language abilities
• Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for intervention
• Collaborate with the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to create appropriate goals and objectives.
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
• Utilize various therapy approaches to target specific speech and language goals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and assessment results
• Prepare progress reports and participate in IEP meetings to discuss student progress with parents and the IEP team
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Previous experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
• Knowledge of relevant assessment tools, therapy techniques, and intervention strategies
