Job description

Established, up-scale, casual dining restaurant is looking for an experienced, energetic, and assertive Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in delivering a first-class dining experience for out guests. As the Sous Chef you will be responsible for:

Making professional relationships with the rest of the team to effectively lead them in delivering a consistent and quality product.

Managing kitchen inventory to ensure ingredients are fresh and of high quality.

Ensuring all standards, procedures, and protocols are followed are adhered to by staff.

Communicating with both FOH and BOH staff and promoting a sense of teamwork and synergy between the two.

Delegating tasks or staffing them as need be to ensure a smooth operation and excellent dining experience.

Training, scheduling, and managing staff.

Leading by example and being flexible to work where needed in all kitchen processes from kitchen set-up to breakdown.

Requirements:

3-5 years experience in training and leading a team in high volume, quality food production.

Knowledge of and experience in using all manner of kitchen equipment.

Serve-Safe certification.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A consistent desire to learn and improve your own talents.

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
