Job description
Distributor Sort Coordinator is responsible for ensuring timely, effective communication between PECO and third-party distributor sort operators.
- Maintain correct contact info and escalation info
- Minimize storage cost and trailer detention cost by leveraging communication between 3PL and PECO
Escalate 3PL noncompliance or non-communication
Maintain up to date user lists for each 3PL site
Serve as point of contact for 3PL sites- Participate in daily PECO operations conference calls

- Report expected downtime, volume fluctuations
- Raise concerns with trailer movement delays
- Daily communication with each of 25+ sites to assess needs and status

- Daily Inventory
- Trailer pool status
- Loading expectations
- Some data analysis and reporting

- Damage Rate Reporting by site/partner
- Quality concern tracking
- Compliance tracking
- Transportation efficiency metrics
- Ensure 3PL sites are adhering to established process
- Perform administrative tasks as necessary

- Process transactions
- Input trailers
- Liaise between PECO transportation and 3PL admins
- Troubleshoot exceptions, submit helpdesk requests
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development (GED)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, email, and phone conversation
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
- Proficiency at MS Office, including Excel
- Self-motivator with prioritization skills
- Experience in logistics as planner or administrator
- Office/Home work environment
- Ability to memorize and apply PECO pallet spec if necessary
- Able to work at PC for full workday
- Clear speaking voice
- High reading comprehension / Critical thinking
