At PDC – A Brady Company, we thrive when our people thrive. We are currently looking for a
Software Support Engineer (SSE) to provide tier 2 technical support to our customers and
frontline support agents. The SSE will be responsible for resolving complex issues that may
involve customer networks, databases, 3rd party integrations, API's, or PDC software and
hardware.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are required, with the ability to communicate viaphone, email and in person.
  • Must be able to work independently or as a member of an interactive team in aprofessional manner.
  • Actively participates in continuously improving PDC processes and products.
  • Work with the support team to resolve escalated cases.
  • Design, develop, and edit SQL scripting related to the software as needed.
  • Design, develop, and edit applications that will interface with the software.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have detailed knowledge of all current Microsoft client/server operationsystems.
  • General knowledge or experience with troubleshooting networking concepts suchas TCP/IP, DHCP, routers, subnets, firewalls.
  • Knowledge of hardware electronics & diagnostics (access panels, firmware) ispreferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong Technical Troubleshooting preferred.
  • Proven ability to support applications and 3rd party software.
  • General knowledge of printers.
  • Ability to investigate and apply technical knowledge to resolve reported issuesrelated to deployed PDC products or services.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, includingmanagement, engineering, sales teams and co-workers.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have beenadequately resolved.
