What You'll Do:
As a Software Project Engineer, you'll be part of our Tools and Outdoor Electrical Systems team working on the electrification of outdoor power equipment such as walk behind, ride on and zero turn lawn mowers located in Valley City, OH. You'll get to:

• Lead software systems for walk behind all electric outdoor power equipment.
• Integration of systems and software, which includes system level debugging (software, electrical, and mechanical) problems with software diagnostics .
• Develop and debug software for real-time, embedded electronic devices using primarily C/C++.
• Develop and debug software for motor control applications.
• Work with key stakeholders, develop product specifications and design criteria, ensure all customer requirements are satisfied .
• Participate in regular project meetings.
• Collaborate with a cross functional team of engineers in the development and debugging of software and electrical systems.
• Adhere to development processes and procedures. Generate engineering requirements and design documents; author and execute test plans/processes for software verification and validation; document and present results.

• B.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Has a systems engineering aptitude to lead integration and debugging of software systems.
• Understand the operation of electronic circuit components for use in a real-time, embedded product environment
• Understanding of software lifecycle, coding standards, and Git based software version control .
• Experience with Atlassian products Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
• Ability for some travel (10%), work outdoors, and lift 35-40 pounds.
