SRT Group (https://www.srtgrp.com/) is a provider of best-in-class communications technologies for mission-critical government applications. We’re hiring a Software Engineer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work either with our Embedded / WiFi team, or with our Bluefin team.
What you’ll be doing:
The Software Engineer is responsible for implementing and verifying basic software algorithms, creating, and performing basic code design tasks, identifying bottlenecks and bugs and devising solutions to these problems and understanding and executing test strategies to deliver quality software.
What you will need to be successful :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or 3+ years of related experience or training
- Computer Skills including Text Editor, Command-Line source code Compiler, Code Development Software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to take direction and supervision from team leads
- Good Knowledge of C and C++
- Understanding of object oriented programming
- Linux experience, preferably from the command line
- Networking experience at the programming level
- Familiarity with chip level uses (I2C, SPI, etc.)
- Any ARM development experience – Raspberry PI, TI OMAP, etc.
- Any scripting experience – Python, Lua, Shell, etc.
- Source Code Control
