Job Title: Social Worker - Homeless Case Manager

Type: Full Time, (DAY or SWING shift) with benefits available

Location: West Los Angeles, CA

Social Service Professionals, "the professional's choice" for careers in Social Work, is looking for multiple Social Workers to work as case managers at interim housing facilities for the homeless located in West Los Angeles and Hollywood, CA. Responsibilities:
-Evaluate clients’ psycho-social needs;
-Evaluate clients’ family/social situation to support a treatment plan;
-Utilize community resources to assist clients’ psycho-social and homeless needs;
-Document history, care plans and prepare reports as needed.

Experience Requirements:
-1-2 years of experience as a Social Worker. Previous experience working with the homeless population is required.

Education Requirement:

-Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Social Work or a related field preffered.

Qualifications:

-Current AHA-approved CPR card

Skills:

-Skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, logic and reasoning, judgment, time management techniques and data entry;

-Ability to make improvements or take corrective action;

-Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources;

-Organize, plan, and prioritize work;

-Communicate with people outside the organization, represent the organization to patients, clients and the public;

-Deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations;

-Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintain them over time;

-Work within a team as well as independently;

-Speak, read, and write effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience while demonstrating the proper use of grammar.
