What we’re looking for:
The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Iodine is responsible for engineering velocity and increasing the performance and stability of our production systems. Our SRE philosophy is rooted in the belief that application of software engineering principles can provide a radically different way to expand and scale our operational capabilities whilst also increasing product engineering velocity. Put simply, SRE helps us enable speed at scale. SRE’s are software engineers first, but ones who have a deep passion for systems and infrastructure. For every great software engineer who blames sys admins for “not getting it”, this is your chance to prove how we can do better.
- Design and build Iodine’s hybrid public/private cloud hosting infrastructure
- Build and maintain a variety of SRE-managed platform services
- Improve and operate Iodine’s information security program
- Engineer new solutions for Iodine’s growing infrastructure
What we’d love to see:
Minimum Requirements (Education, certifications, and experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience administering Linux systems
Preferred Experience:
- Configuration Management systems such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
- Experience working with containers and container orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, New Relic, etc.
- Experience testing/troubleshooting system performance
