Shift: M - F 7 am to 3:30 pm

Position Location: Hazel Park MI – 25,000 sq. ft. manufacturing mechanical for assembly operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of customer service experience in manufacturing environment.

Quality systems experience is required. Proven communication skills in a goal-oriented environment.

Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office and Windows.

Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems, Plex system preferred.

Be able to follow directions and established procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Review all EDI and “Non EDI” daily to ensure shipping requirements and routing times meet customer requirements.

Enter non-EDI releases into ERP system.

Ensure accuracy of customer requirements and data in ERP system.

Report any Request for Actions from Customer “Failures” to Manager as they become apparent.

Provide documentation to Materials Manager for approval on premium freight both internal/external when required.

Work with Material Manager to ensure schedule changes on all orders can be accommodated in schedule.

Stage and process daily shipments.

Create bill of ladings and dock audit sheets for daily shipments.

Schedule Customer pickups as required.

Pull and scheduled “Weekly” SPO shipments.

Assist Materials Manager with the coordination/facilitation of daily cycle counts of Inventory.

Responsible for housekeeping in the shipping and material storage area.

Responsible for tracking Customer Supplied Product (returnable dunnage).

Ensure timely load and unload shipments - Verify All Loads (In Bound / Out Bound).

Ensure incoming and finished material in proper storage locations.

Report to Materials Manager any foreign or suspect material immediately.

Provide back-up forklift driving as necessary to fulfill production/customer demands.Provide back-up forklift driving as necessary to fulfill production/customer demands.

Ensure outside totes are wrapped prior to storing outside.

Ensure housekeeping duties at end of shift - both inside and outside building.

Interface as needed with internal and external customers and suppliers in professional manner in order to identify, clarify and resolve problems in support of organizational goals and objectives.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
