Garland Apparel Group is a family owned and operated apparel manufacturer with a collective 200 years of experience designing, developing, and producing American-made garments. As the proud owners of the former Brooks Brothers Garland Shirt Company, we are seeking employees to support manufacturing products for Brooks Brothers, The Vermont Flannel Company, Bill’s Khakis, and others right here in Garland, North Carolina.

Sewing Machine Operator (www.garlandapparelgroup.com)

*ON THE JOB TRAINING AVAILABLE AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADVANCEMENT!

Starting Pay while training is $12.00 and then you can go upwards to $22.00 based on your rate and speed of production.

Job Description

• Sew fabrics together to make article of clothing using sewing machines.
• Be able to re-thread machine, recognize and replace empty bobbins with full ones.
• Repair defects.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed).
• Clean machine and work area daily.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

• On the job training is available
• Translators available
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
• Must be able to carry/lift up to 10lbs
• Adherence to safety regulations
• Teamwork, communication skills, attention to detail
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Light physical activity pertaining to the specific task

Company hours:

Monday-Thursday: 7:00am to 4:30pm

Friday: 7:00am to 11:00am
