GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Settlements Land Analyst will provide settlements support to the Asset Operations team for operating assets and ensure accurate processing of Land related payments, and other various activities to support the obligations of the company related to agreements with our Landowners and other Operational Agreements, as well as support continuous improvements in involved processes.

Main accountabilities:

  • Read, interpret, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Operational payment terms and obligations of Land related agreements
  • Generate and maintain landowner payment files in direct collaboration with multiple groups such as site staff, Legal, and Records and Information Management
  • Maintain ongoing working and productive relationships with internal stakeholders described above
  • Prepare Monthly Land related expense accruals for Accounting and provide support for any inquiries
  • Support Asset Operations staff in maintaining and strengthening relationships with landowners, critical to the success of the company’s operations
  • Work with Development and other relevant teams to ensure successful turnover of Land payment obligations to Operational terms
  • Improve payment scheduling capabilities of portfolio to increase efficiency and track whole success ratio
  • Support calculation and processing of O&M fees
  • Collaborate with accounting A/P requests associated with landowner payments and as needed reconciliations to accruals
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders in a professional and collaborative manner
  • Focus on continuous improvements, both on ongoing initiatives and identifying new opportunities as part of scope of work
  • Prove accurate forecasting on Annual Budgeting efforts related to Land expenses
  • Build and execute tools for periodical and as needed reporting
  • Additional duties as required.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field such as Finance, Accounting, Business or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Preferred: experience with designing and understanding Excel based models and calculations, and Land Management software such as LandWorks;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
  • Competency in planning and deliver execution.

  • Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
  • Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary

Qualifications

Education

Required

Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.
Bachelors or better in Finance or related field.

Experience

Required

experience with designing and understanding Excel-based models and calculations, and Land Management software such as LandWorks
