Your role as a Server at Walnut Grill is extremely important to our success. You must be efficient to successfully complete your tasks. Work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, guest first environment and provide a Craveable dining experience to every guest. Demonstrate genuine hospitality while greeting and establishing a fun, friendly atmosphere.

General Job Guidelines/Responsibilities

Servers

• Guiding guests through menus while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the food, beverages and ingredients
• Taking accurate orders and partnering with team members to serve food and beverages that meet or exceed guests' expectations
• Providing friendly and attentive service that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return
• Assists in tasks to ensure a clean, sanitized and safe restaurant
• Practice responsible alcohol service at all times. Involve your manager as needed
• Quickly complete opening and closing duties each shift ensuring you and your peers are set for success
• Manage running side work efficiently
• Follow all company policies
• Have proper clean uniform before clocking in
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance by following company uniform policy
• Attention to detail

Fundamentals

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a bartender. Confident and proficient with liquor, beer and wine knowledge.

Server/Bartender

• Professional and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment while creating a memorable guest connection
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with fellow team members and management to provide exceptional guest service
• Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends
• Good judgement skills and adaptive attitude
