The Arch at 550 Madison Avenue is a private club level and amenity space serving this prestige office building’s corporate clients. The space encompasses a 40 seat café, an espresso and wine bar, and nine separate private dining and conference rooms, including a library, screening room, billiards room and chef’s table with dedicated kitchen. 550 Madison Avenue, located in Midtown Manhattan, is NYC’s only landmarked building to achieve LEED Platinum Certification, a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement.

This woman owned business serving New York City for over 40 years is renowned for events catering as well as food service in celebrated New York City cultural institutions, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Apollo Theater and others. Great Performances is the nation’s first caterer to own and operate its own organic farm, Katchkie Farm, located in Kinderhook, NY. Responsibilities

Restaurant and Bar set-up, service and breakdown

Private Dining Room set-up, service and breakdown

Dining room side work, glass and flatware polishing, linen folding

Qualifications

• Minimum two years front of house food service experience
• Fine dining food, wine and steps of service knowledge
• Passion for fine food, beverage and hospitality
• Strong verbal communications skills, including ability to describe menu items
• Anticipates guest needs and derives satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
• Professional demeanor and polished appearance with a warm and welcoming personality
• Experienced in using restaurant POS systems, cash and credit card handling
• Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency
• Dependable and punctual
• Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and stand for at least 8 hours

Schedule: Full Time, On-Site

Pay Rate: $36
