YOUR ROLE

Bold Penguin is looking for a partnerships expert with a proven track record of prospecting, advancing and closing partnerships with insurance-adjacent brands and marketplaces. This Senior Sales Director role will work directly with the Bold Penguin’s Exchange Partnerships team as we continue to grow the largest small commercial insurance exchange in the United States.

The role will identify new opportunities, build new pipeline and work existing opportunities within different partner categories such as Financial Institutions, Home Services, E-commerce… The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience sourcing and closing complex partnerships following a consultative approach and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with our colleagues in Customer Solutions, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Operations to develop sales strategies and communicate our strong value proposition to prospects in order to secure partnerships that matter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prospect, develop, and build partnerships with companies that would benefit from Bold Penguin’s Software as a Service platform and products
  • Source and develop new partnership opportunities within assigned verticals
  • Build new pipeline on an ongoing basis, adding new partnership opportunities in order to maintain a healthy pipeline
  • Advance existing opportunities converting prospects into customers
  • Evangelize Bold Penguin solutions among potential customers across assigned verticals
  • Interface with decision makers, and influencers in these organizations to drive home the Bold Penguin value proposition and close new business within those relationships.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop marketing collateral, strategic pitches and execution strategies that support your growth strategy and goals

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in Partnerships, Sales and/or Business Development
  • Experience selling insurance and SAAS technology solutions to major partners
  • Proven track record of achieving quota and/or revenue goals
  • Entrepreneurial state of mind, self-starter.
  • Experience building and cultivating relationships with strategic internal and external partners/stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Prior experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Travel may be required as needed for conferences, prospect meetings and company events
