We are currently conducting a search for a Sr External Reporting Manager who directs and oversees SEC compliance efforts with the preparation, review, submission and distribution of financial reports, such as 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K. Responsibilities include but are not limited to financial statements, supporting schedules, and the annual report. The position drives timely preparation and review of quarterly balance sheet statements, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and related materials required for SEC compliance as well as investor relations and internal management. The position manages formal processes for obtaining and analyzing information gathered from internal operating segments for financial report preparation. The position provides technical accounting research and analysis; oversees the review and interpretation of new and proposed accounting regulations. The position acts as an advisor for senior management’s compliance for required U.S. GAAP and SEC filings. Liaises with auditors as part of the financial reporting processes. Works with investor relations management to prepare earnings press releases, reports for securities analysts, investors and industry groups. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient and quality operation of the external reporting function.


  • Compile, prepare, review, and file all financial statements and disclosures required by SEC, Census, and shareholder reports
  • Monitor, research and report on new or revised financial standards including implementation of new accounting standards
  • Prepare or review accounting research memos and whitepapers
  • Manage internal accounting policies
  • Oversee and review treasury accounting related monthly close activities; primarily but not limited to the areas of debt, derivatives, foreign exchange swaps, and stock based compensation
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closings, credit agreement compliance reporting and pension accounting
  • Coordinate with the SOX program team to manage the annual control cycle for all external reporting and treasury related SOX controls
  • Work with external and internal auditors to successfully complete the quarterly and annual controls testing and other inquiries
  • Assist in the review and completion of documents for common stock and debt offerings
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to monitor and review the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements and implement related required reporting changes
  • Participate in special projects and related disclosures as assigned
  • Analyze the accuracy and integrity of all financial information and reports produced in order to assist management in evaluating financial performance

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in public accounting required.


Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.


Certification(s): CPA required


Travel: 1 - 10%

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience. Liberty Lake, WA: The base salary is $100,000 - $185,000. This position is eligible for our annual bonus program.
