Senior Production Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates activities of production function in processing materials or manufacturing products in Production area by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with Management Team to enhance operations in Production.
- Directly supervise daily operations of multi-plants (A/B/C). Might need to work in different shift based on production schedule
- Arrange the Processing Team, Filling Team, CIP Team, and Sanitation Team properly to fulfill the production schedule and sanitation requirement.
- Ensure shift operation are up to company quality / safety standard and all related procedure / instruction / preset parameters are follow.
- Provide GMP/ other job-related trainings to the operators.
- Review the daily production report.
- Operate PLC as needed.
- Insure that GMP’s, PPE and HACCP and Safety standards are followed.
- Insure proper employee’s time keeping process.
- Generate and read production reports when requested.
- Stock control and planning in SAP.
- Take over the responsibility of head of production department when he/she is absent.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Warehouse, and QC Department during daily operation to make good use of all resource to make the product up to standard with high efficiency.
- Lead production team to Meet KPI’s and specific functional goals
- Creating Pull-lists for raw and packaging material, maintain inventory accuracy
- Ability to oversee and arrange manpower for all three manufacturing plants
- Provide cross-training for employees across all plants
- Good machine understanding and troubleshooting skills
- Other task assigned by the functional head.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Monitor and arrange daily operation to fulfill production schedule and sanitation requirement (GMP/SSOP/HACCP) 70%
- Ensure proper operation in each shift 10%
- Provide training to the operators 10%
- Miscellaneous assignment in Production Department 10%
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES /QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Supervises daily production operations, shift supervisors, Team Leads, and other staff as necessary.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory and is able to work in shift.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience in food manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. BA/BS preferred. Computer literate with basic computer knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS / MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Chinese or English/Spanish preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ideal candidate must compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision ability is required, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and stay focus.
