Job description
Lightmatter builds chips for artificial intelligence computing. Our architecture leverages the unique properties of light to enable fast and efficient inference and training engines. If you're a collaborative engineer or scientist with a passion for innovation, solving challenging technical problems, and doing impactful work like building the world's first optical computers, consider joining the team at Lightmatter
The person in this role will be a test team member working on planning, debugging, and developing manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation Lightmatter products. The team will be creating product-specific test hardware, software, and diagnostics capabilities to ensure compliance, compatibility, and test coverage for Lightmatter's products from product definition through qualification and high-volume manufacturing. It also involves engaging with design and platform engineering teams in addition to the supply chain organization to influence the definition of the product and to leverage the capabilities of the ecosystem from a testing perspective.

- Provide test solutions for integrated digital/analog/photonic devices
- Work closely with OSATs to ensure test specifications are being met
- Drive post-silicon activities from bring-up through production
- Collaborate with the Design-For-Test (DFT) team early in the design process.
- Develop a characterization methodology of critical circuit functionality.
- Develop initial product qualification (Quality/Reliability) test and execution plan
- Establish metrics and methodology to characterize and ensure reliable product operation at customer sites over the expected product lifetime

- Experience with strategies to improve test time and quality
- Strong scripting and/or programming skills
- Test board or probe card design experience a plus
- Experience with photonic testing a plus
- In-depth understanding of industry standards and practices in analog and digital test, including JTAG/BSCAN, at-speed Scan-ATPG, and MBIST
