Title: Senior Planner
Location: Irvine or Long Beach, California

What’s the Opportunity?
Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Planner for one of our offices in southern California (Irvine, Long Beach). The position may also require some travel to participate in client meetings, public meetings, stakeholder work groups, or site visits. The Senior Planner will have more than 5 years of experience performing environmental review and collaborative science- and policy-based planning for a variety of natural and built resource projects with an emphasis on waterfront and/or coastal infrastructure. This includes demonstrated experience conducting regulatory and ecological analyses in support of federal and/or state environmental policy acts (NEPA/CEQA); preparing permit applications and other technical documents in support of federal, state, and local environmental regulations; developing and reviewing documents, status reports, and deliverables; and completing quality control review of documents. We are interested in a candidate who is a quick learner, detail-orientated, and a committed team player who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive environmental compliance strategies; develop CEQA and/or NEPA compliance documentation; prepare regulatory permit application materials and acquire environmental permits and approvals; manage tasks or projects, including overseeing small project teams; interface with clients, agencies, other consultants, and the public; develop and manage scopes, budgets, and schedules.
What Are We Looking For?
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably with consulting experience
- Experienced in preparing environmental permit applications and supporting analyses
- Experienced in developing environmental documentation related to CEQA and/or NEPA compliance
- General knowledge of marine construction
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting initiative and follow through

Salary and Other Compensation:
- Salary Range: $82,812 - $92,500/yr
- Annual Bonus
- Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.
Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
