Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a Senior Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team in Westborough, MA.

Position Overview:

The Senior Mechanical Technician provides technical support to manufacturing by completing equipment set up, the preventive maintenance, and addressing issues that arise in Manufacturing related to Manufacturing equipment and processes. The Senior Mechanical Technician will also perform a variety of tasks in the design, building, machining, assembly, and implementation of production and test equipment.

Work hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4pm but start/finish time is flexible up 1 hour in either direction.

Location: On-site

How you contribute as a Senior Mechanical Technician:

• Set up manufacturing equipment per process sheet requirements.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance per issued PM instructions.
• Address issues that arise in manufacturing with product, processes, or equipment.
• Design, assemble and debug equipment used in manufacturing.
• Build and/or machine test and assembly fixtures.
• Make detailed documentation packages of fixtures that were built or modified.
• Perform qualifications of fixtures for the assembly area.
• Troubleshoot existing equipment in the assembly area.
• Assist in manufacturing with various tasks such as label printing, UV Light verification, etc.
• Comply with all company policies.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications required for a Senior Mechanical Technician::

• Strong mechanical ability and 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work in a team, or as an individual contributor.
• Good machine shop ability (Milling, Lathes, Sheet Metal, Plating, etc.) a plus.
• Electrical and pneumatic experience required, PLC experience a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Keep detailed notes of tasks in Lab Notebook.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good problem-solving ability.
• Experience with a Medical Device Manufacturer a plus.

Computer Skills Necessary:

• Microsoft Word and Excel
• AutoCad or Solidworks is not required, but a plus
• Proto-Trak programming is a plus.
