As a growth leader in the industry, Accredo Packaging is a successful privately owned Houston area manufacturing company with multiple manufacturing locations in the United States and overseas. We seek an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager, capable of contributing to the company’s overall business strategy, supporting the business as it grows, while maintaining the proper level of control and compliance across the company.
Summary/Objectives
The Senior Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.
Essential Functions
1. Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
2. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization's compliance.
3. Must have in depth knowledge of federal and state laws regulating COBRA, HIPPA, Labor Laws, FMLA and ADA.
4. Participate in the investigation and resolution of ongoing employee relation problems anticipate problems recommend and initiate steps for corrective action.
5. Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
6. Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary program.
7. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
8. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CFO, on personnel matters.
9. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
10. Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.
11. Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information needs.
12. Must have strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal and strong written/oral communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of Microsoft Applications. Workday knowledge is a plus.
13. Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities as appropriate.
14. Champions a safety culture; espousing the beliefs, perceptions and values that the employees must share in relation to risk.
15. Monitors and reacts to market conditions, making the necessary improvements to the
recruitment selection and placement process.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position, either directly or indirectly, manages all employees of the HR department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment, however, occasional presence in the manufacturing production area is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, related field and Ten to Fifteen years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree and five related experience or training, or equivalent combination of educationand experience.
SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1.Maintain SHRM-SCP certification or can obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
