Full Job Description:

Child and Family Guidance Center (CFGC) is looking for a Senior Director of Corporate Compliance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the Compliance activities for CFGC. Primary oversight of adherence to state and federal contracts/program services guidelines. Provides written compliance guidance to departments. Provides coding compliance feedback for clinicians. Prepares quarterly report on CFGC compliance to the CEO and COO. Develops and updates the CFGC Compliance plan for review and approval by the CEO. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The Senior Director of Corporate Compliance’s responsibilities largely align with the OIG’s seven elements of an effective compliance program and include the following:

  • Oversee and monitor the organization’s compliance program
  • Report on a regular basis to the organization’s CEO, COO, and CFO on the activities of the compliance program
  • Revise the compliance program periodically in response to changes in regulations and in accordance with the needs of the organization
  • Develop and coordinate an educational and training program for employees on the elements of the compliance program and ensure employees are knowledgeable of relevant federal and state regulations
  • Ensure that independent contractors who provide services in the organization are aware of the compliance program
  • Work with human resources to ensure all employees and contractors have been screened and checked against sanction and exclusion lists
  • Assist in internal compliance review and monitoring activities
  • Investigate and act on compliance matters including coordinating corrective actions
  • Develop policies and programs that encourage employees to report suspected compliance issues
  • Develop and implement internal monitoring and auditing plans, strategies to assess current state of Agency operations and processes, and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, legislation, regulation, and internal policy related accreditation, licensure, coding compliance and internal operations
  • Understand and respond effectively to contract and statutory requirements affecting CFGC operations
  • Oversee the Coding Compliance program for compliance with billing rules, internal operations, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide Agency Programs with guidance, preparation and response to external audits
  • Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Rapidly determine areas of compliance and internal control risk in emerging areas of the organization and assist with developing an appropriate response
  • Maintain the CFGC Policy & Procedure Manuals and ensure the annual review of the Policy Manual and internal policies, procedures, and plans by the appropriate parties
  • Collaborate with other departments on risk management and manage agency incident reporting
  • Develop and implement yearly risk assessments and compliance audit activities and integrated strategies for communication of expectations and reporting results
  • Maintain professional behavior and provides excellent customer service to both staff and consumers
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct, professionalism, and confidentiality in all activities
  • Function as subject matter expert within relevant sections of the Texas Administrative Code

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Healthcare Management, or Public Policy. Master’s preferred. Healthcare Regulatory Compliance Certification preferred.
  • At least five (5) years managing staff and managing complex projects related to healthcare compliance and the organizational and management of healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to healthcare services.
  • Knowledge of Texas Administrative Code; Performance Contract.
  • Understand the legislative process and the public sector healthcare process.
  • Effectively negotiate, and maintain objectivity related to corporate practice versus corporate compliance.
  • Effectively work on a team with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively balance priorities and respond to changing corporate priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1.00 per year
