Due to company growth, Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced person to join the Haymarket Medical Education team as a Senior Director, CME Educational Strategist reporting to the Vice President of Educational Strategy and Grantor Engagement. This position may be either field-based (remote) or located in our Paramus, NJ, or New York, NY offices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert and effective communicator for the education solutions offered by Haymarket
• Identify grant funding opportunities from commercial (pharma and device) companies and other organizations that support CME and CE initiatives that align with the company’s strategic focus
• Conduct ongoing outreach including video calls and in-person presentations to existing and prospective grantors
• Keep abreast of industry news, market conditions, competitive activities, educational trends through ongoing research and engagement at industry and medical conferences
• Establish new collaborations with appropriate strategic partners (eg, healthcare systems, medical societies, patient advocacy groups and foundations)
• Demonstrate and maintain up-to-date understanding of the therapeutic landscape across multiple key categories
• Strategically articulate the goals and considerations for educational programs, in order to support the medical and program management staff in building an effective grant request
• Assist with the development of grant proposals and supporting documentation. Review and approve budgets and applications prior to submission
• Manage ongoing communications and delivery of educational outcomes and project status reports to grantors
• Participate and contribute to regularly scheduled grant planning and development meetings with medical affairs and program management teams
• Document and maintain ongoing grantor planning and other key business reports including updates to Salesforce
• Exercise fiscal responsibility

Skills and Requirements:

• Must demonstrate a strong practical knowledge of CME, CE, and the related ACCME, Joint Accreditation, and other relevant policies, standards and requirements and guidelines
• At least 5 years of experience, and a demonstrated record of success, related to identification and acquisition of independent education grant support
• Ability to understand and present scientific and clinical concepts in live presentations and in writing
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively, especially with tight timelines, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel
• Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or field
• Candidates should possess experience in independent medical education (IME), and have the ability to maintain existing and create new relationships with IME leads in pharma and devices companies
