As part of the Extell Design team, the Senior Designer works with award-winning designers and consultants and contributes to a variety of projects that change the city skyline. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Extell Development, Construction, and Marketing teams to strategize and realize project goals
- Assist in the creation, management, and coordination of the design process for various projects
- Selection of the Design team, including but not limited to design architect, architect of record, interior designer, lighting designer, landscape architect, etc.
- Facilitate the interior design process through all stages of design
- Review interior designers’ and other consultants’ proposals and contract scopes
- Thorough review of design drawings and submissions (schematic design, construction and architectural documentation; and design development)
- Provide feedback to the Interior Design Team regarding design, FFE, and floor plan layouts
- Review design intent for feasibility and constructability
- Consult for bidder de-scope for applicable interior-related trades
- Participate in the construction administration process
- Participate in the submittal, RFI, and SK process
- Oversee punch list review
- Oversee FFE and art programs
- Ensure design compliance and integrity
- Collaborate with Marketing Team on marketing materials
- Conduct product research and sample procurement
- Conduct AutoCAD drafting tasks and 3D modeling
Summary of Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, or similar in the real estate industry
- Knowledge of general workflow and processes for construction and design
- Strong FFE experience (specifying, drawing process, management)
- Professional and articulate communication (oral and written) skills
- Effective interpersonal, administrative, and technical problem-solving skills
- Ability to present recommendations and interact with senior management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in various locations: within the office, onsite at built properties and active construction sites
- Strong architectural and interior technical skills are required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Autodesk AutoCAD is required
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam and/or Acrobat, and 3D Modeling is preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
