ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Database Management Specialist to support the acquisition of aeronautical systems and subsystems. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in developing and analyzing Advance Aviation, Avionics, Radio Frequency (RF) systems and provide professional services to all branches of the military (U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and U.S. Marine Corps), Manufacturers, Commercial Customers, NSA, FAA, and NATO.

This candidate must be able to define, generate, and review project requirements documentations. Performs technical studies to refine project requirements. Provides coordination between supervisor/resource managers and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs. Must have experience as engineers or computer scientist before moving into this project role. Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in Linux, Windows Server, Network engineering support, network characterization and analysis.

The candidate must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, and fluid environment. Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and processes, a plus, but not required.

Travel: Occasional travel required (5-10%).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science System experience. In lieu of the degree an additional four (4) years related professional experience is required.
• DoD Clearance Requirement: The individual must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance.
• Individuals in this position must be a U.S. citizen.
• Experience in:
  • IFF Systems certifications
  • Weapon system/airborne platform software, avionics, or networking desired.
• Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies
• Location at Robins AFB, GA
