About The Role:
This role will play a pivotal and dynamic role within our supply chain and logistics team. This role is responsible for vendor communication, purchase order and inventory management. This role will work heavily to forecast implement and drive key metric improvements around delivery, quality and cost for the business. This role will also assist the supply chain with additional tasks as required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage vendors;
- Drive key metric improvements around delivery, quality and cost
- Manage vendor relationships, implement sourcing strategies around fulfillment, vendor management, inventory management, and safety stock
- Drive cost savings initiatives
- Support contract negotiations
- Support the new product development process
Purchase order management;
- Read and interpret demand signals into procurement strategy and timely placement of PO’s to support revenue plan, minimize stock outs
- Place PO’s outside of established supplier / product lead time to ensure delivery is on time to support revenue plan
- Drive delivery assurance with vendors to support the on time delivery of goods / services to support operational plans
- Execute less than 24 hour turnaround time on PO placement from other business functions
- Manage the freight plans for all inbound deliveries
- Build shipment schedule and communicate timing of shipments to business Work with account management to adequately allocate inventory for PO’s for wholesale vendors
- Support the invoice reconciliation process
Inventory management;
- Review inventory levels and implement fulfillment strategies to balance inventory in all distribution centers
- Responsible for analyzing inventory and balancing inventory between all DC’s as a percent of sales
- Take active role in supporting SIOP process: pulling and analyzing data, proposing strategies for aligning supply and demand
- Responsible for the accuracy of and for maintaining and updating systems to ensure alignment between all inventory management / PO transactions / physical inventory
- Forecasting / analyze data to support wholesale accounts and allocate inventory as needed
Support the supply chain organization and business with additional tasks as requested.
Qualifications
- College degree or 7+ years of applicable experience preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years of logistics experience
- 3-5 years of data analysis experience (Preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in placing and managing purchase orders (Preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in vendor management (Preferred)
- Preferred experience with international sourcing (Preferred)
- Proficient in Google suite / Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using ERP, MRP, WMS, specifically Netsuite (Preferred)
