The Information Services department seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst to work side-by-side with the Business Solutions group and Application Development team to manage application backlog and provides project management on active development coordinating planning, documentation, training, and release.

Project Management (40%)

  • Ensure that development teams follow established agile practices, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, facilitating meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminating team impediments.
  • Facilitate the implementation and integration of 3rd party software with Colleague ERP and other local systems and applications when necessary.
  • Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates

Systems Analysis (40%)

  • Provide project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (e.g., business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan).
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems
  • Actively review and monitor reported incidents and defects. Coordinate investigation, resolution and document results.
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on ensuring systems provided meet long-term business strategic goals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and potential impact on the support business

Quality Assurance (20%)

  • Assist with and test implementation of projects to ensure data collection, transfer, quality and reporting relationships are working appropriately down to the transaction detail level.
  • Prepare documentation and instructions related to technical requirements and specifications.
  • Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field, and comparable professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience supporting a variety of business applications, business processes, enterprise systems, databases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems
  • Agile SCRUM Master
  • Experience integrating outside applications (including cloud-based systems) with internal enterprise systems
