Senior Business Intelligence Engineer Developer

The expectation of this position is that most of the time should be actively writing code and so a strong understanding of design patterns, architecture, and creating testable code is required. Developer should possess a strong passion for coding and creating a quality product that meets and exceeds the needs of the business.

Essential Job Functions

• Strong Experience with SQL server ETL development and its related tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, visual Studio), including extracting, transforming, and loading data from various data sources and APIs.
• Advanced experience with the production SSIS/SSRS packages troubleshooting and development. Solid hands-on experience and knowledge of ETL technology use in projects.
• Excellent SQL programming, Advanced TSQL (stored procedure build/support, functions, pivot, views, median is, cross apply).
• Knowledge of data base concepts, mapping including the dimensionality, referential integrity, indexes, keys, master data, and meta data.
• Working experience on Analytics tools like Power BI/Tableau.
• Advanced knowledge in applying appropriate test methodologies and QA process on development projects.
• Assists software developers in designing queries, compile and write documentation of process development following established methods so others can understand the process.
• Work with business and management to ensure product is tested thoroughly
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work in a challenging environment.
• Support daily business operations related systems
• Healthcare, human services and pharmacy domain experience
• Basic understanding of health care functionalities NCPDP and 835, Price discrepancy (PD), AWP Price, Cost based methodologies.

Basic Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in in data analytics, SQL programming.
• Application programs such as stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, cursors, collections and triggers and materialized views using SQL and PL/SQL.
• SQL server Tool (SSIS, SSRS) and ETL processes.
• Experience in Performance tuning in SQL
• Understanding the FTP process and Excel transfers.
• SSRS/ Power BI reporting (drill through, linked reports, sub reports)
• Bachelors’ Degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution

Required Experience

• Must be self-motivated, decisive, ambitious, have high personal ethics and a willingness to take personal responsibility for the applications they develop.
• Must be able to develop professional and personal relationships with co-workers and end-users and must be a positive people-oriented person with excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to lead a team and a project
• Experience with Entity Framework, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions, SSIS, T-SQL and Database Security.

Physical requirements/Working Conditions

This work is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

• Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
• Frequent lifting (up to 20 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).

Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.

Pay: $75,400.00 - $118,800.00 per year
